Carry out a 60,000 kilometre logbook service
You are a second-year apprentice technician in the service workshop.
What has happened
A fleet wagon from Warrigal Shire Council is booked for its 60,000 kilometre logbook service on repair order RO-26-4514. Fleet vehicles receive the full manufacturer service schedule plus a safety inspection checklist because the council relies on the report for its own fleet records. The Service Manager has asked you to complete the service yourself with the master technician signing off each stage. Bay 5 is allocated. The hoist inspection tags were renewed last week after a near miss on hoist 7, and the workshop has been reminded that every lift starts with the lifting points confirmed from the repair information. Parts must be requested before 8:00 am so the oil, filters and any wear items are ready.

Evidence guide
Look for the hoist pre-use checks completed before lifting, lifting points confirmed from repair information, measured values recorded rather than ticks, correct waste segregation and a repair order that shows fault found, cause and correction. The student must request parts by repair order number and must not start additional work without authorisation.
