Our story

CAQA Torque Automotive

CAQA Torque Automotive is a multi-franchise dealership group that sells new and used passenger vehicles and light commercials, services and repairs vehicles of every make, and supplies genuine and aftermarket parts to the trade and to the public. The business began as a two-bay independent workshop in Dandenong in 1996 and now runs a twelve-bay service workshop, a dedicated hybrid and electric vehicle bay, a tyre and alignment centre, a parts warehouse and a sales yard that turns over more than two thousand vehicles a year. Customers range from families and tradespeople to fleet operators, local councils and community transport providers.

The group is organised into six departments: the service workshop, parts and accessories, vehicle sales, service reception and customer care, administration and finance, and a small safety, quality and compliance team that reports directly to the dealer principal. The Dandenong South site opens six days a week with technicians rostered across an early shift starting at 7:00 am and a late shift finishing at 6:00 pm. Geelong runs a single day shift, and the Truganina parts centre dispatches trade orders twice daily. Apprentices rotate through the workshop, the tyre centre and the parts counter during their training.

Torque holds manufacturer service accreditation for the brands it represents and maintains a documented quality system covering repair orders, warranty claims, roadworthy inspections and vehicle preparation. Safety is managed through a hazard and incident register, monthly toolbox talks, hoist and lifting equipment inspections, licensed refrigerant handling and a strict high-voltage isolation regime for hybrid and electric vehicles. Environmental obligations for waste oil, coolant, batteries, tyres and solvents are tracked through licensed waste contractors. Consumer law obligations, motor car trader rules and privacy requirements for customer records are built into every sales and service procedure.

Honest advice

Customers are told what a vehicle needs, what can wait and what it will cost before any work begins.

Craft and care

Work is done to manufacturer specification, checked before release and backed by a written warranty.

Respect for the trade

Apprentices are taught properly, tools are looked after and the workshop is left ready for the next shift.
